March 8th, 2023 marks International Women's Day, and to celebrate, we've invited some of the BidSwitch team to share some of their personal experiences working as a woman in tech.

Valerie Zeltser
, VP Client Solutions, AdTech

"One of the most valuable lessons I learned as a woman in tech is building the right support system around you, which not only helps elevate you as a professional, but fosters the right learning environment for you to grow as an individual. It is those personal growth milestones that propel you to not just become a leader, but also a mentor to other women, who are on the same road less traveled by… and that will make all the difference."

Angelika Tabash
, Sr. Strategy Analyst

"Coming into the technology space a bit later in my career felt like unlocking a level of life that connected my love for tinkering, investigation and creativity, with an enjoyable career path. Doing it alongside women who share those same passions has brought what I feel is a unique sense of camaraderie and community. Seeing STEM based toys and curriculums being offered at a young age is an exciting thing to see for the incoming generation of women in technology. "

Yuliana Veyberman
, Sr. Client Services Manager

"Working in a male-dominated industry quickly made me realize the importance of having quality mentorship. Over the years, I’ve been very fortunate to receive guidance from really strong women – women who set an exceptionally high standard through their own hard work and dedication in this industry and who, in turn, helped pave the way for me to develop in my own career.

I hope to, one day, be able to pay it forward: to attract more women to the ad tech space, to set a positive example through sharing my own journey, and to help build confidence in the next generation of female leaders."

Stephanie Chang
, Sr. Product Marketing Manager

"I’d worked adjacent to the tech space for a few years before making the jump, and I’d always been intimidated by what I heard of “tech culture” - I read Brotopia and watched the horror stories play out on the news as well as from friends alike. When I decided to join the industry myself, I knew that it was critical that I find a close-knit group of fellow women, especially as someone who has always felt more comfortable in environments that are female-dominant.

Thankfully, I’ve had the privilege of finding a close-knit group of fellow women who could serve as cheerleaders, mentors, and, above all, a support system of steel, at every company I’ve worked at. That gives me hope for the way we’re reshaping “tech culture” for future generations of women to come, one day at a time."
